Ahmos landed in the US in Mid May, 2024.

He came from Cairo, Egypt.

He is guesstimated to be around 8 years old. He currently weighs 11bs.

This poor guy has had a difficult life. We learned that he had terrible teeth due to lack of care and poor nutrition living on the streets. It explained his constant drooling and the staining near his lips in his close up picture. He has received a very expensive dental that involved extraction of almost all of his teeth to give him the life that he deserves. He has also been treated for ear mites, and has received updated boosters of all his vaccines. He is now fully recovered and adjusting well.

Ahmos is not a fan of other cats and dogs. He is shy and still learning that not all humans will hurt him. He will need someone with a big heart, lots of patience and love to give him the security he needs to feel safe.

If you would like to sponsor Ahmos, we would be so very grateful. The cost of bringing him to safety, vetting, and his dental has been very costly.

We are a very small rescue. We are a 100% volunteer rescue. We do not have any paid staff. All travel expenses for vetting, intake, meet and greets, home-visits, etc. is paid for by the generosity of our volunteers.

We do require an in-home visit, screening, and verifiable references.

Due to our in-home visit requirements we are ONLY adopting within the city of Chicago, IL. We will not respond to applicants outside of our adoption area.

We will ONLY consider applicants who have filled out our application in full and abide by our rescue protocol.

We will not arrange any meet and greets unless all references have been checked and applicants have been approved.
